I dunno about you, but when I think of Rhode Island I think of little quaint houses that are covered in cedar shingles. I think of ocean, lobster, beaches, and the amazing east coast accent! So when we got to go there last month to shoot a wedding, I couldn’t have been more excited. We landed in Boston, and made our way to the little state. It was an amazing drive, that let us see all the little townships of Rhode Island, and as Kellen and I drove through we thought to ourselves “we would live in any of these houses!”. When we arrived at the house we were staying at we didn’t realize the view we had until we woke up with the sun filling the room through windows the were floor to ceiling!! It was gorgeous! and I knew that this was going to be a beautiful wedding..
Leo and Nicole live in Providence but wanted to have a wedding in the more eastern part.. They chose the Tiverton Meeting House, which by the way, its incredible! It was a little cedar sided building, where the ceremony took place, and outside was a tent! In the surrounding area there was also a sculpture garden where we got to do the first look, the family photos, and also the bridal party photos! It was a photographers dream come true. Nicole had been planning every single detail and it showed. She had each of the bridesmaids dressed made by a lady in Brooklyn, and each girl was able to choose their own fabric. The boys had their own eclectic look there attire as well. The ceremony was done by their friend, and it was just the right amount of romantic and funny! The music by Nicoles mom, and Nicoles dad played a trumpet as the newly married couple walked back down the isle! After there was a cocktail hour filled with all things Nicole and Leo. Leo had brewed his own beer for the event, so everybody was able to enjoy that! Since being on the east coast they had GINORMOUS lobster, for lobster rolls, that was being prepared right there! As a west coaster I was definitely enamored with the whole ordeal! On the other side of the lawn there was sausage links being cooked, and gazpacho was being passed around. All while, a WHOLE pig was being roasted and dinner being prepared. It was one of the funnest weddings we have shot, with so many wonderful people. We are truly blessed with what we do, and I’m grateful… I love these photos, and I hope you do too!! Leave some love to tell Nicole what a beautiful wedding made!!
What a wonderful day. It looks like a great time was had by all. You are right. She looks amazing and soooo happy.
I love the picture of her and the lobsters! Well done as always, my friend!
